Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain
While the news media has a sex scandal as its top story no one seems to be noticing that the U.S. economy is quietly coming apart at the seams.

I don't condone Eliot Spitzer's compulsion. No doubt if he was just an ordinary guy with few enemies, the bank wouldn't have picked up the "unusual" transactions from his accounts. However, he's not an ordinary guy, so live by the sword die by the sword. However, I find it the height of hypocrisy that the Republicans in the NY legislature were ready to start impeachment against him if he didn't resign when we have a President and VP that have lied, cheated, gotten richer through illegal means and have gotten people killed. What Spitzer did was despicable and stupid but at least he admitted doing it! And nobody died.
